1, 2025, to June 1, 2025, with an advocacy, educational, and marketing campaign extending
until October 10, 2025.
2. Who organizes the HigherSelf Awards?
The awards are organized by White Wing Educational Community Development, Inc., an
organization with a successful track record of impacting students, educators, and schools
through social and emotional learning programs.
3. What are the award categories?
There are 11 award categories including:
I Am Peace, I Am Unity, I Am Knowledge, I Am Power, I Am Law,
I Am Protection, I Am Control, I Am Cooperation and Harmony,
I Am Correct Ideas and Beliefs, I Am Devotion, and I Am Strength.
4. How can I nominate someone for an award?
Nominations are done by visiting the HigherSelf Awards website, selecting a category, and
completing the online nomination form. Nominations also serve as votes, and the nomination
process and voting are the same. The nomination period is from February 1, 2025, to May 31,
2025.
5. What is the process for selecting award winners?
Nomination goes through a voting process. Once nominations are submitted, they are
counted as votes, and the winners are announced at the awards presentations in June.
6. What do winners of the HigherSelf Awards receive?
Winners of the HigherSelf Awards will also share donations made by the
HigherSelf Awards sponsor, I Am Products LLC.
7. What are the HigherSelf Awards Nominee Selection Criteria?
Nominees are selected based on the following criteria:
1. Dedicated to serving members of the Black community.
2. No religious doctrines, institutions, or organizations.
3. No history of hate speech (Racial, national, gender-based, sexual orientation-based, ability-based).
4. No reports or documented fraud (By the organization, its board members, or officers).
5. No history of violence.
6. Three years of continuous operation.
7. No political organizations.
8. How is the effectiveness of the awards program evaluated?
The effectiveness is evaluated through feedback from award nominees and sponsors, post-
event surveys, and informal interviews to assess the impact on their work and community
engagement.
9. How can sponsors get involved?
Sponsors can collaborate with White Wing to coordinate effective brand and product placement.
This includes digital sponsor branding at live events and sponsor presentation speeches.
10. How does the awards program engage with its audience?
The program maintains ongoing communication with its audience through staff members, social
